Getting Started

Solo Media is a browser extension that hides social media distractions. This guide will walk you through installation and enabling Creator Mode.

Step 1: Install the Extension

Solo Media works with all major browsers. Visit solomedia.top and click "Add to Browser" (or "Add to Chrome" / "Add to Firefox" depending on your browser).

The extension is free to install and includes all core features.

Step 2: Enable Creator Mode

After installation, click the Solo Media icon in your browser toolbar and toggle Creator Mode ON.

Creator Mode is designed for content creators who need to:

  • Post and manage content
  • Check analytics and insights
  • Respond to comments and messages
  • Stay focused without getting distracted by feeds

When Creator Mode is ON, you'll see only your own content and creator tools. All distracting feeds, recommendations, and navigation are hidden.

Step 3: Try It Out

Open Twitter/X, YouTube, Instagram, or any supported platform. You'll immediately see the difference—distracting elements are hidden, and you'll see only your own content.

Don't worry: you can toggle Creator Mode OFF anytime with one click.

Step 4: Set Up Scheduling (Optional)

Want blocking active only during work hours? Or weekdays only?

  • Click the Solo Media icon
  • Go to "Schedule"
  • Set your focus hours for each day of the week

The free plan includes 3 scheduled time windows. Pro users get unlimited scheduling.

Next Steps

You're all set! Use social media for a few days and check your analytics to see how much time you're saving. Most users save 5-10 hours per week once they've adjusted to intentional usage.
